Hi all new on here and in need of advice I have a 53 plate 2.0 tdci xtype with a kak engine I also have a 2.2 mondeo st engine I'm wondering if I recode the injectors will it work or will I need to change ecu etc or will it work at all cheers in advance and happy new year all

 

Not having done it cant give definitive answer but hopefully somone will be along who has?
But you could fit it and see how it runs and if it seems to be running poorly you could get a remap company to map the ecu to your new 2.2 engine?
May be worth speaking to reputable mapper first? Someone like Celtic or whoever is closest.

 

Hi thanks for the reply that sounds like the plan of action the chap who I spoke to today who will be doing the remap said it shud be fine
