I've put an aftermarket mp3 stereo in. How do I get the clock back on the display. I've had a look around at some old posts and seems that it's a bit of a struggle. Anyone had any success?

....the clock on the air con display no longer appears. I think it is linked to the standard stereo. Any way to get it back....(without putting the standard stereo back in).

Are you talking about an X-Type with the standard, non-touch screen radio? The standard radio has the clock on it's display, it was never on the climate control LCD in the X-Type when fitted with the standard radio.

Most aftermarket stereos have a clock function built-in, so you should at least have that option.

 

Ah ok. For some reason my new stereo only displays the time when its on standby. Bonkers.
