Hey gmoney n welcome to the forums bud

Re your question, there are quite a few on here fairly knowledgable about sizes of rims on the X. There's quite a few with 18's and are quite happy and some that rub. I'm sure there's one or two that have 19's but have had loads of problems with rubbing and tyre wear. There's talk of rolling fenders and various other tricks, but its pretty much all the same as far as I have seen.
I'm sure that someone with definitive knowledge will be along to answer soon, but it may be the price you pay for the look you want
Myself, I have stuck with the Sport 17's and have no issues.

If you live in a bumpy area you should change them to 18" asap .17" seems a good choice but I assume you like the bigger the better . 35 sidewall is like a paper lol . How can you stand that ? lol

Gmoney, see below just some of the threads relating to rim / tyre size and you'll get an idea of just how complicated and costly this can be.
I am I admit sometimes envious cos they look great, I just couldn't be bothered with the fuss not to mention the cost. Just my opinion.
Check them out for yourself

just make sure you check it out big time before you decide as an error in judgement can be very costly.
Good luck gmoney and keep us informed

Sorry gmoney......Like I said, I'm runnin OEM Sport 17"s so not the best one to ask.
Probably Nineball, somekidz and a few others would be able to help and hopefully will be along soon to give you the benefit of their experiences

gmoney, what size are your wheels? I have 19x8 Armano Vega's w/ 225/35/19 and they rub but not as much as you are mentioning.

I had 215/35/19 tires but with a 8" wheel, the rim stuck out and the ride was like crap! But no rubbing.

235's are way too wide for the X.

225/35/19's are perfect but you will experience some rubbing on large bumps and when people are in the back.

find the offset of the factory 18's, and stick with that. they are 18x 7's, but i believe the offset is 42mm. I have 18's with the factory 16' offset of 38 mm and rub bad. these cars arent made to be hooked up. stick with OEM 18" offset wheels and no bigger or you'll be annoyed, broke, and sorry.

Donz Luciano Wheels come in 19x8 and 19x9, if you have 19x8's then 225/35/19's are perfect. That's my set up.

If you have 19x9's? those are too wide and will damage your fenders overtime.

Take them to wheel shop and find out.
