What a mod you are Jim .That's been really helpful as well.
BTW, WD40 should be awarded bt something like Grammy,Oscar whatever it is .When something goes wrong people say just spray WD40 and it will cure the problem lol

Yeah that is for sure...two things a redneck always has a stock in...duck tape and wd40! I know I have a little of both! I even have some clear duck tape that I used to light up my rocket!

Problem solved it was a fuse relay position r6 inside the engine compartment fuse box. I checked the amount of freon and it was full and than got out ramps to check the compressor and than checked a fuse before getting under to get a look...I am ecstatic! Plus I don't even have to go get a fuse relay because as all quirks go in my car the horn only works when it wants too!

No I wanted to look at it pretty bad but I really have my mind set on the s-type r for the next vehicle we get. If I get rid of my x right now I wouldn't be able to drive the r here in michigan in the winter. I'd like to get one with a warranty but I don't think that would be very smart as of right now Jim...Thanks for remembering though!

The S-Type R is the car u want, ilove the X, i just like the R better. Just cos of the performance alone, and the fact that it comes fully loaded.

Thats a real good question, but i think the reason is becaure i dont think many people wud be willin got pay 15k to 20k more for a supercharged car, when the nonspuercharged one costs 35k. Although an X-type R wud prolly give the M3 a good run for it money, similar price range (the e46, not the 2008 model which is going to cost around +70k)

I also thought like you but I believe it would be a great experience for brand new Jag Owners who offer a bimmer M3 performance in their X Type .
Also, I said this because all other Jaguar model line up has a supercharged version such as XJR ,S TR and XKR

I'm sorry to point out the obvious, but if the X has as many problems as it does now, just imagine if it were to have another 200 HP? The X was made to offer an affordable Jag to the average person. Not to take the M series beemer and whoop it! To be honest though, I think that the X type R would be quite a hit, but who knows if they'd keep it AWD. They'd probably have to make a different tranny since these are so frail!

Frail on the earlier ones...oh wait I have an earlier one....shhhhhh.....
Hey Jimmy I wouldn't sell the x thats why I was kind of hesitant in getting another x that is more expensive than mine right now...I will have both if it goes my way and not too many things are broken down on the x...like I said as long as I'm living in Michigan the x-type will always be parked in my driveway!

I guarantee that if the x wasn't awd they probably would have built an x-type r...but there'd be wayyyyy too much money into the development of a stronger drivetrain alone to make the x R worth it...they could however look to mitsubushi and the development of the lancer considering that is awd and puts out some nice numbers for power and it is awd...
