I just had my plugs changed, but the guy said that there was still a code being thrown for an Air Sensor. The CEL came back on later today so i guess I need that.

I know what a MAF sensor and O2 Sensor are, but what exactly is the Air Sensor. Whatever it is was listed as .4 hours labour, so that reeks of DIY. I think he said it was near the plastic part of the intake. What is the name of the part I need to order.

 

Probobly mass air flow, but yr and model i might have 1

The part cost about $100. Is it the clean air sensor?

 

clean air would be a new name, but its in the plastic intake elbow just past the air cleaner. and 2 screws and a connector, plus having the code cleared again

 

So is that the name of the part I need to ask for?

 

Mass air flow sensor if thats indeed what the code is for, i would check to make sure.
