Looks great! I love the look of the LED's, and the light they put out is a lot more "crisp" looking than just the regular incandescent bulbs. I spot a Cree reverse light; I have a set and adore them. They only concern I have had with going full LED is brightness issues. Have you had any trouble with brightness?

Did you have to install a new flasher or resistors for them to work properly with the car?

I actually went with it in the rear fog light socket. And put 19led on the reverse socket. It is a bright intense light but just in a straight line. The 19led gives you more lighted area on sides.

U do need resistors if u want the dash turn signals to blink at normal speed instead of fast like a bulb is burnt out

Good info. I was wondering if anyone had upgraded their rear lights to LEDs on the X-type.

I have seen them before on several cars. They are direct in output and not as easy to see as normal bulbs. The spread of light is not really there. Personally, not for me.

I like them, they light up faster and use less energy, and now adays you can get ones that are brighter than halogen bulbs. The good ones cost a bit, but they should last a long time. My question was just whether the brake bulbs needed resistors or not, but it sounds like only the turn signals required resistors or the CANBUS style that have resistors built-in.

What will happen if you put an LED in the turn signal without a resistor? Besides blinking fast and a warning light on the dash will it affect the car at all? Does it shut off cruise control? It doesn't put it into limp mode or anything right? I am having trouble finding a front canbus bulb. It's a harder to find bulb with the flat socket base like the wedge lights. I was thinking of just putting in a 10w LED bulb, would that really make that big of a difference? Maybe blink at double speed? I could always add a resistor. Just seems like a lot of work to make that one bulb led... The rest seem pretty easy.

Oh my gosh, I got the sickest cree brake lights. They are super bright too, you can see them in the day and the car looks bad *** at night.
