Just bought a 2005 X-Type sedan with these wheels on it. They're 18", not the stock 17's, and require an Allen-head wrench to remove the center caps.Would like know the manufacturer if possible.
Thanks for the suggestion, Dell. Finally did track down the wheels; they're Pacer-789's that cost a previous owner about $ 200/each. In checking further, I found that Pacer says the bolt pattern for these wheels is not compatible with the X-Type. I looked more closely at the wheels and there appears to be an adapter between the hub and the wheel and the wheel nuts are only able to be threaded about halfway due to the thickness of the wheel. All the nuts are tight, but this sort of buggery offends me and also puts me in a bind; The wheels won't fit without the adapter which means dropping $ 400-600 for a used set of proper wheels (plus mounting and balancing). I plan to take one of the wheels off and see how thick the adapter is. If a thinner adapter isn't available, I'll make sure that the wheel nuts are on as tight as possible, hope I come across some reasonably-priced used Jaguar wheels and attempt to sell the ones that are on the car.
Makes me wonder what other half-a**ed fixes I'm going to come across......
