Anyone refinished the stock wheels?
Looking to refinish my stock wheels as I like the look. Just trying to decide on what color. I resprayed them a dark gunmetal and they have help up for a few years. Now I’m looking to powder coat them and I am exploring colors. Show pics if you have redone yours

My OE rims have a different shape, but that should not matter. When I bought this X-Type, EVERYTHING was in a disasterous condition, incl. the rims: All 5 rims would have had plenty of contact with cornerstones - damaging all 5 is actually an artform - I have to grant that to the previous owner...
Anyway: I had so much work with that car, I did not feel like a complete respray of all 5 rims as well, but I came up with something, which worked out quite nicely - I worked on the damaged section with very fine sandpaper and then I sprayed the damaged section ONLY (not the complete rims) with SCA cold gal silver zinc coating. SCA (Super Cheap Auto) is an Australian outlet for vehicle-care-products, so this exact brand would not be available in the US, but I recon maybe you are lucky, and you find a different brand with that exact colour somewhere in the US, because the utterly amazing thing is that this is the absolute exact OE-colour of the rims. It does not show at all that I did a respray there. First with a.m. cold gal silver spray and then after a while clear coat. Note that the silver seemed to be of a different shade of silver directly after spraying, but after drying, it turned out to be of the exact same colour.
I have not polished the rims before taking this picture, hence I would look even better than this...
