Default anyone using the new wiper blades?

Bosch Icon, Rainex Latitude, Michelin Optimum? Any opinions on them at all? Versus PIAA?

I've had the bosch icons on my x-type for about 15,000 miles or 10 months and they work great for me in Florida and in the snow in up north. They just started streaking, So i cleaned them with windex and the work like new again.

I've got icons on my X now, and they're well past their prime. I went out today looking for the new arch type ones, but had NO luck finding a 22" one. the 19s were plentiful, but I guess a lot of cars take a 22. Maybe I'll have better luck next time.

If I understand it correctly the newer style blades that are designed to conform to the window and do now require the tension mounts have built in "spoiler" to aid in keeping them against the glass. Or at least it seems that is what the manufacturers claim. Reveiws on Amazon indicate that several people had problems with the end caps on the Rainex version breaking or popping off. No complaints about the Bosch Icon, except for the price. I didn't see anything on the Michelin, but I did run across some info that they were made by some other company and branded for Michelin.

Besides these three brands are there any others of this style?

I had the rainx ones on my sunfire. They were good at the beginning and after about a month or 2 the end cap went MIA and the rubber kept on sliding around. if you dont make sure to put the rubber back then the blade worps and it will no longer conform to your windscreen. I think the rain x ones are a waste of money. I got the motomaster ones after them from canadian tire for about $15 for the pair on the sunfire and they lasted over 12 months.

I have Rainex Latitude on my Jag. I really like them so far. They really do contour to the shape of your windshield. Big improvement from the last ones I had.

I have the newer version on my A6 as std and they work a treat. Seemingly the conform to the window in approx 32 locations as opposed to around 4 on the older style, so yes, they do tend to clear the windscreen so much better.
I'm gonna upgrade them on the Mondy soon as well

I got the Bosch Icons yesterday at Auto Zone. I think it was $21.69 for the drivers side and $18.89 for the passenger side. No issues installing, as you would expect. Pretty simple. I like the cover for the hook, looks clean and neat. Never thought about someone stealing them, what a POS. It never ends, does it? Well, I kept the old ones so if I need to use them I guess I can.

Just use whatever's cheapest, anytime I've spent more money on the better one's they don't last either, kind like our roads!

I just use whats on sale or bosch micro edge thingy's. i change mine before twice a year because of the Midwest USA weather here, i use wipers constanly fall-spring.

Its wipers nothing "high tech" about it. Unless you in a fair climate and then you can buy the expensive ICON's casue they will last a Long time in fair weather.

TIP: If you clean your wiper blades once every two weeks with an acohol wipe, it will giv them a longer quiter life.

+1 on that housegroove............me too.
It helps to get rid of the fuel / oil grease deposits from the road too and keeps the windscreen smear / streak free so its all good.
