Auto Shifting Question

Default Auto Shifting Question
My 02 2.5 auto won't change into 5th till around 55mph. If I cruise at around 45 and let off the gas shouldn't it drop into 5th? There are no strange noises and when it drops in and out of 5th it's smooth.

If you are in sport mode then that's about the right speed, and no to the second part at 45mph it will stay in 4th.
If you are in normal mode the shift point to 5th will be slightly lower.
