recky1987,

I've moved your question from Off Topic to X-Type forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

I had the same problem, and ended up getting the Scoche FM Modulator from Amazon. It's not just a simple plug in the lighter wireless transmitter. You need to get the antenna adapter's and power it to a ign on power source. I really like having the option of being able to plug any 3.5mm audio into it and has an on/off switch. The sound quality is really not bad - not as loud as some others, but overall decent. I don't really blast any music in this car, so take that into consideration.

Antenna adapters:
Amazon.com : Metra 40EU30 2002-Up VW/BMW/European Vehicle Antenna Adapter Cable Kit-Add CD with FM Modulator - 1 Each : Vehicle Audio Video Accessories And Parts : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Metra 40EU30 2002-Up VW/BMW/European Vehicle Antenna Adapter Cable Kit-Add CD with FM Modulator - 1 Each : Vehicle Audio Video Accessories And Parts : Car Electronics

Aux In FM Mol:
Amazon.com: Scosche FM-MOD02 Universal Audio Input FM Modulator for iPod, Satellite Radio or Portable Music Player: MP3 Players & Accessories Amazon.com: Scosche FM-MOD02 Universal Audio Input FM Modulator for iPod, Satellite Radio or Portable Music Player: MP3 Players & Accessories

It fits nicely in the ashtray compartment and I ran the audio extension cable and power through a small hole I drilled at the bottom of the tray. You do have to remove the center dashboard and radio to be able to disconnect the FM antenna and plug the modulator in between. All cables are routed behind and then the audio extension cable come out by the drivers side of the seat. Looks very neat and no one would know this is aftermarket. I was even going to install a small 3.5mm Female on the center console to plug into , but actually like how simple it looks like this anyhow.
