Back bumper out of line-is it easy to fix?
I have an 09 X Type and nudged the back bumper (the plastic bit) and one side has slightly gone out of alignment (it sticks out about a quarter of an inch). I have tried to 'thump' it back in but it won't go! I don't want to use any tools in case the plastic splits. Any ideas?

Robert, I would start by pulling atleast that corner apart and seeing if the tabs that hold the bumper to the quarter panel are not mis-aligned some how. There are a few fasteners under the boot that you will need to remove and then there are a few on the underside of the bumper. I want to say that there is also a 10mm bolt on the back side of the bumper cover between the side marker light and the tire that needs removed. From there, the corner of the bumper should practically fall off the car once you release the friction clips at the top of the bumper cover. From there, see what you have and try to get it all to snap back together.
