Default Back from Portugal...

and after a lot of thinking and Sangria by the sea I have decided to look in to getting the car fixed. On reflection I think my local garage just didn't want to spend the time and manpower on the job so just fed me the best option of dumping the car just to offload it. I'm going to put the feelers out, get some more quotes and second opinions. I love this car and will do my best to keep it, if that means fitting another engine, I'd rather pay for that and hope it will last me many years than throw the same amount of money on another car, which is just as much, if not more, of a gamble. At least I will know where I am with the Jag if it's rebuilt almost from scratch.

sparkx, good to hear you followed my advice with the sangria. Hopefully you can find something with fairly low miles and get it transplanted into your car. See what you find and go from there.
