Old engineer there is a bulletin for that. If yours is an 06 then I assume it is under warranty.
I will post TSB number up later unless housegroove can beat me to it.

The 2007 I had as a rental had the same noise...sounds like the pads touching kind of like the rotor is warped or something. I let the enterprise guy know about it and he said he'd have someone look at it. It did it the day I got the car from jag but not the following day when I took the car back to jag...it did it from about 0 mph but no higher than 30 mph...sometimes louder than others. Hopefully thats all it is housegroove as I'd find it really hard to be a bad drivetrain anything on a car that is a few months old and barely had 12,000 miles on it...

I'd appreciate it if you would e-mail me a copy. My dealer's been playing the "can't duplicate the problem" game with me so far. I need all the ammo I can get. The moaning noise I get when I back up after she's been parked for a while sounds like the half the rear end of the car fell off. I'm under factory warranty for 84 months or 100K miles - bought the extension when I purchased the car.

Moaning from the rear of the vehicle......thought you guys would have grown out of that by now....lol. j/k

The moaning that way is either your rear brake pads or the rear hub carrier bushings. TSB's for both and HouseGroove has them both.

Make sure you lube the anchor points on the caliper. Is your car still under factory warranty? If so, Jaguar will pay for the rear pads to correct that problem. Select Edition however will not.

If noise is still evident after pad install, I would be looking at that rear hub carrier bushing. Again this is just a guideline as I am not there to hear the noise.

Good luck.

It just doesnt end with my Jag[:@]
I am really trying the PMA JimC4 its not working

I had an issue with the underbelly splash plate, see thread;
https://www.jaguarforums.com/m_41589..._1/key_/tm.htm

And now The motor on my drivers seat wont move it up and down. I dont thind its the motor cause it goes back and forth, butt when i try up and down i hear it buzzing/grinding but nothing going. this happend to my passenger seat three months ago, but come on who cares about the passenger.

also the original dealer who redid my whole radio speaker issue i had before, still have not fixed the cd changer. i called them today and the said they forgot to order an new one last month, and it will take another. The funny thing is am very nice when i am there, i try not to be annoying, but i feel that dealer is giving me the brush off.

I was thinking of moving up to an 05 or 04 this summer, butt i dont know if a want another Jag with problems [&o]

i thank everyone for all the help and trying to keep me positive about my baby Xtype

Get an 05 black sport with the 18's front mesh grill and body kit! Those are sweet! Plus you'll be under original warranty and possibly SE but don't go try and get your hids fixed! LOL! J/K But not about you getting an 05 sport!
