My daughter dropped a small metal flashlight down the passenger side windscreen defroster vent while the plastic cover was off. The dash panel has bumped up and I was dealing with that when she pushed the light into the open vent. The flashlight has fallen into the vent and not visible. I have thought about a magnet/grabber to retrieve it, but can't get to it from above. Does anyone know where the litt 3" x 1" metal light might have ended up? How can I access where it might be so I can get it out. Thanks for the help?

 

If flashlight has an aluminum case a magnet won't do you any good. If you can't see or reach anything through the defroster vent (cover off) I'd look at taking out the glove box to get at the defroster vent tubing.
