Battery FYI
I just replaced the battery in my 2002 with an
Everstart Maxx 94R from. Walmart. Looks
identical to the Jag battery I took out. It has
a CCA rating of 735 vs 650 of the Jag battery.
It is made by Johnson Controls and has a
3 year FULL replacement warrenty and
NINE years pro rated. Price....$77!

That's smart, I had not thought of that. Good news on the battery too.
I guess that all Walmarts have different prices..My local walmart wanted $138...I got a battery from my local car place..a Interstate...slightly better figures, but it cost $150. Walmart said that the only place to honor the warrentee is a walmart...not even a Sams. Interstate is all over the place, so the $18 I could have saved isn't as important as the handy service if something goes wrong...But at $77, I would have taken my chances. At walmart they sell,in the auto department, the gadget that goes into your lighter, and keeps the settings..I got one for $4.50...Just remember that you MUST have the key in the accessory position before you disconnect the battery. I did it, and it kept all settings.
After being on vacation for a couple weeks my car battery died (it was about time anyway, as I haven't replaced the battery since I bought the car in 2005). I picked up the Everstart Maxx 94R from Walmart for $82. Autozone quoted me $190 for a Duralast; so I took a chance on the Everstart.
So far so good.....

Interesting on the Everstart. Never even heard of them. My car is taking a couple seconds of cranking before it starts up...not good in this winter weather! Sounds like a good time to get a new battery.
