Thumbs up Blacked out X Type

Right now I drive a 2002 black X-Type. I want to black out the entire car at the lowest cost and I was just looking for some tips and price estimates to do that. Right now the entire car is stock with tinted windows. Any help would be appreciated. Such as how you did it, DIY techniques, or how much you payed a shop to do it for you. Thank you in advanced.

As this trend is extremely popular at the moment, many auto graphics shops are specializing in murdered out wraps. That is reversible and since at the current rate every second black car will be murdered-out by the end of the year, reversible vinyl wrap may help if you want to be different with glossy paint and clean silver wheels next year.

In my area, you can get a sedan wrapped for $3k. Add $400 for window tint and whatever your wheel budget is and you will have exactly what you are looking for for under $3500 before wheels. TC

Default how far do you want to go

I'm working on the same kind of thing but not wanting to put too much money into it. I ordered some film for my marker lights and can use the same stuff on headlights and taillights, I bought my x with 2 sets of wheels so I'm taking the second set and refinishing them not black but in graphite grey. I'm attaching a pic of my x with the blacked out markers. The film I used to do the markers was heatable and wraps nice, only costs about $10 to do the markers another 10 would cover the taillights.

I tried the vinyl on the tail lights... Too much contour to do it yourself. You will get really pissed off. Plus, I really hate blacked out tail lights so in retrospect, I wouldn't even go through the trouble again

Hey, I'm new here. I know your reply and the picture insert was left 12 years ago.. but i had to make an account to see if there was a chance you'd still reply.

Your car is ****ing sick man! White walls!
I had to ask what mods you've had done to it? Is that front bumper stock? What inch" did you get on your white walls?

P.s hope you survived COVID and your box didn't go to scrap 🤣
