Blown Coil Pack
Two days before it's annual MOT inspection my X type blew a rear bank coil pack. Would usually have a go at this myself but have got a lot on at the moment so booked it in to my local Indy for a quote..He's recommending having all three of the rear packs changed to save on future labour costs as none have been changed before and are probably all coming to the end of their natural life. He will also change all six plugs as they are also near the end..Price he is giving including parts ,labour and tax is about £ 600.
Have used these guys many times in the past and always found them to be honest with pricing and was wondering if people on here thought that sounds about right. That will also include original parts ,not cheapo Chinese.
Thanks all.

Obviously, I don't live in Great Britain, but that quote, seeing all parts are going to be original, top quality, in my eyes is pretty fair pretty fair. The work involved isn't all that difficult for an average handyman, but is time consuming for a licensed mechanic who has to guarantee the work.
Cheers Yorta, that's reassuring. I would normally have a go at it myself but just haven't got the time at the moment and need it done in the next few days to get it to pass the emissions part of the MOT. will probably get them to go ahead as they can also do the MOT test at the same time.. (More payout)!
