I am a newbie owner of an X-Type Jag. I was told it could synch up with my cell phone, but the code ##3#*# is producing no results when I attempt to get it to broadcast for discovery by my htc type phone. Worse still, I found a "Car Baby II" paper insert in the glove box. Does that mean my model did NOT come with a cell phone module even though it has all the buttons? Last 6 digits of my VIN are D74243, I THOUGHT it had all it needed... Thanks in advance.

 

Kevin, not sure what "Car Baby II"eans, but teh easiest way to tell if your car does not have the hands free phone option is to press teh phone icon. If the display shows "No Phone" you do not have that feature.

 

Thank you. I just tested it, nothing happens at all when I press phone related buttons. Doesn't display or do anything. It looks like a trip to the dealership at the same time I get the four hundred dollar key and remote entry... Ouch.

 

Guaranteed you don't have the bluetooth option, very few of the 04 models did. All the phone crap is a hold over from when you would get the cell phone option (center console mounted phone) not so much for bluetooth.
