I think you'll need to get underneath the steering column to have a look at the brake and clutch pedal housing. If both pedals are on same shaft, then maybe there's accumulated dirt or dried grease that's causing some binding. Disassembly for cleaning and fresh lubrication should solve this. You might also look at the brake stoplamp switch see SNG Barratt's website for p/n C2S3680 or C2S46705 depending on VIN. If switch is not secure or in correct rig maybe slight movement of the brake pedal is tripping it.

One microswitch below brake pedal disconnects cruise control and activates brake lamp.
One microswitch below clutch pedal disconnects cruise control.

These switches are very close to each other and their positions and adjustments are easily disturbed if you get your feet below the pedals.

Any bad adjustment or malfunctioning switch may be the cause of your problem.

Thanks guy's, noticed if I put my foot under brake peddle and lifted slightly then depressing clutch peddle it doesn't activate brake lights so I will check switches and the brackets. Cheers.
