Brake pipe threads
I have an 2002 X-type 3.0 AWD with a burst rear offside brake line. I want to make up and replace the section before the rear hose. Are the fittings 3/8 UNF or M10x1, or what please?
I guess the pipes are 3/16'' dia and I'll probably be using Copper/Nickel. The car model is probably the CF1 rather than the later x400.
By the way, why doesn't my brake warning light come on and let me know that I have lost all my brake fluid? It lights up with the ignition on and the handbrake on and the connector on the reservoir is good
Thanks for any replies.
By the way, on another topic, can anyone let me know why my ABS light would come on when the car engine gets hot? In cold weather I can drive as far as I like without the light showing and the ABS out of action, but when I stop and the engine bay warmth rises below the bonnet, it triggers the ABS light. But on a hot summer day, as soon as I start the engine the ABS light is on and stays on throughout. By the way, I changed the rear reluctor rings a few years ago, so they are ok and the ABS system works properly when the light is out.
