Brakes please helppp
alright y'all seem to be the place to look.
I have a 2003 X-Type just had to replace the back calipers as it had been sitting in a field for a few years before I got it. Now that ive got new calipers on the brakes seem to not work what so ever.
Before I put the calipers on I had front brakes but the rears were frozen and dragging now I have absolutely nothing. I have been trying for 2 days in a row trying to get them bleed and it seems as if nothing is working. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated....
One thing I have noticed is that is sounds almost as if there's a hissing sound coming out from below the master but when I check the abs module it has fluid to all lines and I have no leaks. In at quits end and dont really have the money to bring it to a shop at the moment.

Jimmy, are you able to get fluid out of all 4 calipers? If so, then we know that you don't have air in the lines. That leads us back to either a bad ABS module or a bad master cylinder.
Just to ask a silly question, but when you installed the rear calipers, did you adjust them by hand to get them close to where they should be (ie, pads about to touch the rotor)? If not, this could possibly be part/all of your issue. If you didn't, then I would recommend raising and lowering the e-brake handle a number of times till you can't pull it up all the way and the handle only makes it say half way up. This will then adjust the rear calipers to where they should be. This will also give you a chance to see if the e-brake is doing what it should.
Another "duh" question, but do you have fluid in the brake fluid reservoir? This would be a sign of a leak somewhere that may have been created during your work.

Your car has a vacuum booster on it. It is located right behind the master cylinder. If you have a vacuum leak it may feel like you do not have brakes. The vacuum line is the small black line to the right of the master running to the motor. They have been known to leak.
