2006 X type 3.0L V6. 136K
A/C used to kick in right away. Now I have to wait between 1 and 3 minutes to get cold air. I checked the compressor. It engages as soon as I push the A/C switch on but the gauges remain at static pressure ( about 100 PSI ). After 1 to 3 minutes, high pressure reaches nominal pressure, vacuum suction goes down at nominal pressure and the cold air flows in. I added some 134 just in case but didn't resolve the issue. Someone told me about a A/C bypass valve ( ? ).
I will welcome any suggestions.

That valve has with poor cooling at idle not no cooling. You need to check if the compressor is turning on electrically. If not it's not the compressor
