Can I get a head light cover?

Some jerk must have backed a pickup truck trailer hitch into my 2002 X-Type driver side high beam head lamp while I was parked and shopping at the hardware store. The glass is broken. The light still works (hasn't been driven in the rain on high beam yet I suppose). I've been searching the internet for repair parts but can only find entire head lamp assemblies for sale at over $300. Any sources for just the glass cover?

I think you may have better luck on ebay, a good used one will cost about 120....as for replacing the glass, i don't think they sell it seperate like that (i could be wrong)

The X Types we have had in our bodyshop which have damamged headlight glass have all had to have complete new headlihjt units.Its not possible to just order the glass from the dealer.

You may get lucky and find someone to sell you a headlight with good glass. All you have to do with american headlamps is put them in the oven and let the glue get sticky and tear the glass off of the light (not sure about the cats.) On ebay though you can find whole lamps for under 100 shipped. Just searched found this one-230043084654 brand new light and with only 18 hours to go and its 71.00 american. Make sure that whomever you buy from they have a reputable business running and they email you before you even bid on anything.

Thanks to all for the info. I found a very good condition headlamp assembly on e-Bay and purchased it for less than half the price of a new one via a parts dealer. Now to installing it...
