Too bad that it has to be a diesel engine to make it happen. Give me a diesel engine any day.

 

I enjoyed all 3 parts, watching that make me want to trade in my 04 for a facelifted XJ...

 

I was surprised he jag cold hold out so long, lets be serious,t eh jag weieghted a ton more then both cars, and jeremy had all the functions on int he car, there testing the new xj soon, whcich i feel in love with

 

I remember this episode last year. I love Top Gear Clarkson can be so funny. I believe that top gear is now shown in the US?

 

Yep, we have (and have had) Top Gear on BBC America for several years. My DVR is chock full of episodes. I remember this episode, Clarkson really didn't even try to conserve fuel from the get go, thinking that he was in fact hopelessly out of it and would rather putter out quick and go about other things. I was amazed at how far that XJ would go while the gauge was on E...(kinda scary actually, how accurate is this gauge?)

The recent South American episode with the Rover, Sammi, and FJ was an instant classic.

Top Gear is the best show on television, that XJ is such a looker.

 

Every year near Christmas Clarkson releases a DVD with just him messing about with cars. These are a must see and presumably you could get these in the States / internet.
