Car does not start after 2 months not used
2002 jaguar x-type 3.0
Battery was dead, replaced it, it turns/crancks but does not start. I reset the fuel kill switch as it was suggested in one posting, still, does not work. The car ran great before. Any suggestions?

How long did the car sit before the battery was replaced? I am looking to store my car without the battery (storage location does not have power to use a tender with car hooked up) and am worried that I will need to have the transponder code put back on the key fob, due to the system not having any power for 6 months (or like your dead battery). Anyone else on here know if leaving the car with a dead or no battery causes the car or fob to lose the transponder code, disabiling the car, then your wallet?
