car wont start

Default car wont start
Hi Guys

Emergency here.... I think something blew... the intrumental cluster will not move...eg..any needles don't do the usual movement test, only have light and my engine wont even make a turn over sound... can anyone suggest anything? I'm freeking out.. 2002 x-type 2.5

Battery problem fax88?
Check some of the recent posts on batteries to see if this could be your problem

Hi Jim

no it's not the battery...its new...I actually hear a spark sound coming from the instrument cluster...could the instrument cluster prevent the engine from starting? It doesn't even turn over

The instrument pack can cause a no start condition. Was your negative battery cable clean, what color is the cable end, silver or gold?
