a couple of ideas of what I want my Jag to look like. Not sure about the cat leaper on the bonnet though. Definitely don't want a chrome cat, but considering having a black one. thoughts issues appreciated.

 

okay, I'll vote NO to the leaper at all. Perhaps a black bonnet badge instead if you are going all black.

Jonesy, I went leaper-less earlier this year. I actually bought the black XK bonnet badge listed above from Adamesh. One thing with that bonnet badge is that it doesn't sit flush to the bonnet. You have to tweak it; I chose to sand down the backing to make it sit flush. Not real difficult to do, but just an FYI. Here are some pictures to give you an idea...

 

This is what I replaced my leaper with. Fit purrfectly on my X-Type, no mods needed.

I've decided that if I'm going black and no chrome at all then I'm going to drop any badge or leaper.

I may keep the jaguar chrome strip on the boot (trunk) lid. But other than that that's it.

3.0 Jaguar badge is smart, but I've a 2.2 and it feels like a bit of a cheat. I'd rather keep my mouth shut than tell fibs ;-)

Going for this look. Probably not to everyone's taste but there you go.

Thanks man. Still a concept at the moment. but just need the wheel refurb, window tints and facelift grille with black mesh. Then I'm there. got to fix the side vents after Christmas.
