CD blows Fuse; heat comes on full blast
2006 X Type 3.0 Automatic Sportwagon
Installed new automatic J shift (used).
Car is in park; foot on brake pedal; wont's start.
Key was stuck in the ignition (battery was dead); charged battery key comes out.
Let the car sit with ignition on, hoping it would reprogram ... fan would not shut off.
Remember previous owner saying that the CD player in the back would blow a fuse & the heat would turn on full blast.
1. I'm thinking that the new shift unit probably has a decent solenoid so the brake pedal switch may be the culprit.
2. Providing I get the car running, what do I do to cure the CD/heat problem; apparently bypassing the CD unit does not solve the problem?
