Default Location of CD player fuse?

I’ve looked at 20+ schematics, but I cannot find the location of the CD player fuse.

2000 xj8 vdp L

i did find a write up on how to remove it and potentially readjust the motor alignment, but I’d rather check the most obvious and potentially easiest solution first. Then I’ll move onto that, and if that doesn’t work, eBay here I come.

im getting the no disc error. It played the end of a song, then poof, no disc

as always, I really appreciate everyone’s kindness and knowledge.

I don't think it'll be the fuse, pretty sure when I disconnected the multichanger when it failed in my old XJ8 I couldn't even select CD from the head unit.

Just looked in my handbook & I can't see a fuse for it either, there's head unit & audio system fuses but no cd player.

Have you read your owners manual,...or have one?...they tend to get lost. On page 4-13, it shows you the fuse box locations and on 4-20 the audio fuses. The amp powers the CD player, so your probably dealing with a bad CD unit. See if the eject button will work, that'll tell you if the player is powered at least. Check the plugs as well on the back of the unit and side of the amp.
