i have a 2002 x type and had it it for 8 years but i am on my 3rd cd exchanger the latest one just like the others has locked up and displays on screen cdc error is there any way of freeing the cds from the cartridge or will it happen if i un plug it from the back ?
some body must have had this happen to them please please help

 

Myself and others have managed to free a stuck cd magazine using the following method- Open the changer door and give the magazine a sharp tap with the handle of a half decent sized screwdriver. As I said it worked for me. You may have to remove the unit from the car and dismantle it to remove your discs otherwise.

ok so iv tried the tap with a screwdriver handle and nothing doing
i have the original cd ex changer when i bourght the car, and tried to open it up. i dont want to trash it so any more ideas . please please
