central locking fault

Every time i use the fob for my x type the driver door doesnt open but the others do and on rare occasions the drivers door does open but the others dont.Any ideas ?

Might be a weak battery in your Fob, have you tried replacing the batteries yet?

A good indicator of a weak battery is the distance you can use it from.If youre close to your car before it operates the central locking you need new batteries soon.Mine works from at a guess 100 feet but gradually will need to get closer as the battery weakens.

See the other items on the transmitter failure and the recall in this Forum (posted after this). The dealers are now authorised to fix the static build up problem with key fobs. My key fob would sometimes work and sometimes not. Take it to your dealer and get it fixed under warranty / recall.
