After replacing my upper radiator hose assembly 2 days ago my reservoir tank decided to crap out on me today. The top nipple outlet broke off into the hose causing coolant to leak out. Is there a temporary fix? As this is my only vehicle.

Also, what trustworthy website can I go to for the most affordable tank? Dealership here in Hawaii is almost $223 before tax. I think thats crazy for a tank that will most likely break again.

WELL I HAVE A USED(BUT 5 MONTH OLD) 1 IVE BEEN SAVING IN THE GARAGE FOR $50 PLUS WHATEVER SHIPPING IS TO HAWAII. OR JUST BUY ME TICKET AND ILL PERSONALLY DELIVER AND INSTALL IT

thanks everyone. decided to bite the bullet and purchase from the dealership. did a full flush and refill at a local shop that a friend of mines works at. fingers crossed. hope my cooling system holds up.

 

Just an FYI,

I just purchased the $99 tank at the link above. It seems well made, however, mine was damaged in shipping. The small hose barb was broken off (the very same one that broke on my old tank)

I threaded the hole with a 1/8-28 pipe tap and threaded in a brass hose barb.

It's working great.

 

2.5 X TYPE remember to turn the clamp ears DOWN if you used the OEM clamp that is what caused it to break, it hits on the underlining of the hood and the pressure causes it to fail (time and high heat help) Warranty replaced mine $100.00, ridiculous, tank is less than a gallon,I bought a 13 gal plastic gas tank for $150.00 shipped.
