Just purchased an 04 X-Type (Black/black leather). I plan to add the chrome mirror application, as I have seen these on a Jag and like the look. But what about the headlight rings and tail light chrome trim? What do you guys think of these mods? Too much? Cool look? Thanks!

 

Actually I was going to purchase another 04 X-Type, 3.0, Zircon Blue with all of the chrome peices. Headlight rings, tail light trim, mirror covers and the lower skirt covers in chrome too. We could not agree on the value of my trade so I walked. It looked nice and I would have kept it all on the car if I took delivery of it.

I say go for it.

 

hmmm, wow that seems like a lot of chrome. I would stick with the chrome mirrors at the max. I think the chrome rings with look tacky but if your a chrome kinda guy then go for it.

 

I would say "Go For It" . We recently bought a Chevrolet and added some chrome trim pieces .It made a big difference .If you have a darker color then chromes look even nicer and eye catching
