I turn on my car and the Climate Control Display comes on minutes after driving. Sometimes if it does display right away, it has jibberish all over and minutes later it corrects itself. This is a non-navigation car.

The first suspect here is the battery - not putting out sufficient voltage. How old is the battery? The fact that the display self-corrects after a short period of driving suggests the battery as the cause (or the battery connections or the cables themselves).
I just bought a battery a month ago. The problem has been around since I bought the car. Maybe a few months. I tested the battery and it checks out fine. Voltage is good. Also the alternator was replaced two months ago.
Sounds like the display is on its way out. Could be the connections to the lines on the display might be deteriorating. Not sure what you mean by "gibberish". Do you mean there is text or other symbols in the display or do you mean it just has a weird almost psychedelic look to it? Either way, probably just simplest to buy a used module and replace the who unit.
The gibberish that comes up. Instead of saying Lo it would say 8o and the fam symbol would be a square. As if the pixels were in a robotic pattern. Like white noise on an old tv.
