closed loop
Hi, sorry for the bad english... when i make a cold start in the morning the car on the OBD elm 327 shows closed loop, i've read that when engine starts first is in open loop then go to closed loop... my engine is popping from the manifold and run in 300rmp and shaking and when i swich of the MAF sensor it goes to 1000rpm and the engine works fine but in first 2min still popping?! Any ideas mates?

That's easy to check with an OBD scanner:
To fix a vacuum leak on your x-type follow this link:

- Look at the fuel trims with the engine at idle, are they close to zero? If they are not there is a problem.
- Looking at the trims, rev the engine to 2000 rpm. If the trims go to zero (not exactly zero but close to zero) then you have a vacuum leak.
