Default Code P1646

I changed the 02 sensor on my 2004 Jaguar x type (upstream bank1) When starting up, The code P1646 came right back. Whats next?

Firstly, did you use an OEM sensor or one of the cheap internet ones? Numerous posts on replacing the sensor with the cheap ones and having problems.

Just to be sure, you did change the upstream sensor on the firewall side of the engine, not the radiator side?
