Computer issue or transmission - 2006 X-Type
Symptoms:
-LED indicator only sometimes lights up when the system is in park, and only most of the time for other gears, will not start in park if the LED indicator is off
-Says 'Gearbox Fault'
-Thinks the trunk is open even when locked
-Will stop speeding up after about 2500rpm and then continuously rise rpm while not going faster. However, if gas pedal is pushed all the way down it speeds ahead just fine
-Dash says 'Avg. Speed: 400-600mph
Please help
