Default Connector to the back of the battery box?

Hello I have a 2 pin connector to the rear of my battery box that has a blue/yellow wire and a white wire. I found it on another Jag X type and it attaches to the battery tray. What is the connector for?

Woodsrzr, it is a useless connector now. That connector is used to top up the battery when the car is in long term storage (like when it is being shipped from england to the US. Once the car is put into service, that connector gets attached to the battery box to prevent it from flopping around.
