coolant expansion tank
I'm not sure if this is a common problem or not. 13 months ago I had the expansion tank replaced, due to leaking at the nipple, to a cost of $180.00USD. Today, I am back to the shop with the same problem. Tank was OEM.
Is this a problem anyone else has experienced? I live in Florida, nice and warm. Not like the plasic freezes up and becomes brittle

It is an issue with the X's.. I had mine replaced under warranty this past fall.
With it breaking at the nipple.. I was thinking that a fitting could be inserted into the line so it could be re-attached to the tank itself. Would be cheaper then $180 for a new tank..

Most tanks I replace have high miles and rarely come back in for another. The nipple is easy to break as it just sticks out in the breeze. Someone working on the front struts could easily lean on the tank and cause a crack.
