Default Coolant flush HELP

Anyone have a write up on flushing the coolant system? I did one of the dumbest things I can think of in a long while. I accidently poured a little bit of brake fluid into the coolant tank. What kind of damage could I have done to the cooling system?

Whats a little bit??

If it was less than a teaspoon..not to worry..But if it was a lot, then you better drain and refill..

You gotta remove the front under panel (14 million screws)..there is a drain valve (petcock) on the lower part of the radiator..Open it and open the Reservoir where you poured in brake fluid....Pour a couple of gallons of distilled water in the reservoir and let it drain out too...Do you want me to go on?..I'm just assuming you want the whole refill process..

A couple ounces. Planned on doing a full drain and refill anyway but this wasnt the reason i wanted to do it. Anyway i have the under panel off. The drain valve on the passenger side of the radiator, correct? Please whole refill process and suitable replacement fluid brands.

"Fill the cooling system up to the MAX mark on the coolant expansion tank using a 50% mixture of Jaguar Premium Cooling System Fluid or equivalent, meeting Jaguar specification ESE-M97B44-A and 50% distilled water."

You can use whatever you want, but I recommend using this..it is a different chemicle that Dex-Cool..so it's about $50.00/gal at the dealer...don't cut corners on this, is my advise.

After you've drain the engine completely remove the engine cover (3 quick fasteners)

Fill the coolant tank to the max (Bottom of Black top) with the 50/50 distilled/Anit-freeze mix and install cap...

START and run engine at 2000 RPM until radiator fans kick in..Then shut engine off and let it cool for 3 to 5 minutes.

Loosely Install a Hose clamp/tool on INLET heater hose (this one travel from the fire wall to the front of the engine)

Loosely install another Hose clamp/tool to Heater Outlet Hose (this one "T" into the hose leaving the bottom of the coolant tank)

You should be able to rent these tools from Autozone, etc.

Inlet Hose:

Now..Restart the engine and run at 2000 RPM..While keeping the engine at 2000 RPM,Fully Clamp off the OUTLET HOSE...and then next, Fully Clamp off the INLET HOSE.

Continue to run engine at 2000 RPM for about 3 minutes..

All the while this is going on, try and to squeeze massage any of the large coolant hoses top and bottom to help burp any air trapped in the engine.

After about 3 or 4 minutes shut engine off and Remove Clamps..

Let engine cool for a while and then fill coolant tank to MAX level again...keep an eye on it for a couple of days, as there will be some need to add more later..

That's it..

I assume there are next steps once the clamps have been put on?
