Default Oil Filter????

This afternoon i have to change the oil in my 2003 Jaguar X-type. I need to go pick up a filter and i have alot of shell synthetic oil sitting the the garage. Can someone give me a diagram of where the filter is or explain it? How much oil ext? I tried looking for it, cant seem to find it.

Thanks

Look from underneath the car near the front of the engine. Unfortunately, the filter sits above the exhaust pipe and can drain on it. I suggest covering the pipe with something. The best tip I have heard yet was to use the box the filter came in to cover the pipe.

Well i guess it was a success. I put in Mobile 1 Synthetic oil. About 6 bottles. But after finishing up i took the car to the local shell to put air in the tires. (What exactly is the recommended amount of air for a 2003 x-type with 16 inch rims?) When i went arount the car i saw smoke pouring out of the crevices and grill. And the reason was because oil dripped on the exhaust pipe. I should have put the filter box to cover it, but i was in a hurry :/. Great experience.

the recommended tire pressure really depends on your tires....
check the sidewalls for max psi.... and put about 2-4 psi less

The problem is, the car has Michelin tyres in the back and on the passenger side, and contental on the drivers side. So if i put it to the max but a few psi less. They all have different max ratings They are all differnt. I need to get the contental replaced soon so than they will all be michelin.
