Hi Brains Trust 😊
have a coolant leaking issue on My X Type...
  • Seems to be coming from the bottom the thermostat hose that hooks up to the oil cooler..
  • Can someone please give me the name of the hose that's on the bottom... looks silver to me..
  • Please find attached pic 📸
  • A big thanks in advance that can help me out here...

That part is the 'oil cooler outlet pipe' - C2S30225. There is a technical bulletin relating to that additional hose clamp you see where it attaches to the thermostat to prevent the hose from coming loose - XT303-S939 (jagrepair.com).

A cheaper option that I'm trying to source is just replacing the individual hoses on that pipe as the aluminium section should still be perfectly fine to reuse. Jaguar do sell the larger hose that connects to the thermostat - C2S40953, but I cannot find any information on the smaller hose that connects to the oil cooler as it has a smaller ID.

Hello Many thanks for the reply and the information I required..Yes, I feel the metel hose part is fine and it possibly is the rubber end parts that connect to the thermostat etc...I will investigate more...Just notice the last few days a puddle of coolant on the ground and the coolant reservoir practally empty..Noticed it more when I had the A/C on and even just the fan...It didn't over heat at all which suprised me..but even more strange I topped it up again and heading home driving it ..it did not use any or lose any coolant on my 30 min drive back home...
had me baffled...
but will investigate 🔎 more into it ..
perhaps a pressure test may be in order??
thanks again for you help in identifying the hose etc...
Mike
