coolant ratio and brand help//
Im about to do my radflush.and i have read on the prestone site..is has a 50-50 ratio for min protection,and a 70-30 mix for max protection..I think im gonna use the pestone dex-cool,or the prestone long life all makes formula..any thought on these two points..will the 70-30 mix eat my coolant system,and is the dexcool really ok ,,or should i go with the all makes and colours stuff

Irish, you don't want to drop below a 50/50 mix when it comes to the coolant/water ratio. I normally mix up something in the 60/40 range (this allows you to add water should you need to when in a pinch). Since you are up north and get exposed to cold weather, this is all that much more important. I normally do a bottle of straight coolant, then a bottle of water, and I normally end up with a partial bottle of water.
As for the type of coolant, they are all ok. The big thing is if you are changing colors, you need to make sure you do a good flush of the system. Beyond that, stick with a big name and you will be fine. I personally used Prestone in mine.
