Default Couldn't get my DSC after cleaning the wires terminals

After succeeding to brush and sand the three electric wires terminals behind the right headlight as per your gracious advice, I suddenly lost my DSC. I started the car today to go back to PA for Thanksgiving and it warned me "DSC off". I pressed the button DSC on the console but at no avail. This is bad. Now the winter is not in yet but soon...
I had a scary front collision in the woods after a spinning on a black ice patch in the PA winter 5 years ago when the X-type I had at that time, my first baby Jaguar, ended up with its about a foot of the front end middle bent into a tree and among others, my breast bone was fractured with a trauma that left me with a thoracic aortic aneurysm. Like my aneurysm, because my first baby Jag couldn't be fixed, the insurance gave me another one, this lady full of DTCs which sends me to your threshold with my numerous humble askings for your help. Right now this new priority which I don't know if connected or not to my DTCs (that damn P0453 that I cannot get rid of) or my recent cleaning of electric terminals behind her right headlight: HOW TO TURN MY DSC BACK ON from an "OFF" THAT I NEVER REQUESTED? What else beside that DSC button on the console I should bother? Thank you.

Good to her it is resolved. Did it just go away on its own or did you do something specific to resolve the situation?

Thank you so much Alfa, for your gentle post. This morning I just got into the car with my scanner and infuriating myself with that P0453, then, as for the first time since I had the engine light stubbornly on disregarding both my and a mechanic's erasing, I pressed the erase twice and hard. While I was doing this the gauge above steering wheel showed DSC Off then DSC On, then DSC Off, then DSC On. I don't even know if everything is okay with this gauge display as the light on the console never lit back red as it used to do when pressing the DSC button. Without that red light, I guess I should trust the unlit gauge's notification, what else? Very strange the engine light suddenly disappearing (of course it will come back but not right away) when I pressed the erase button. It looks like a battle of the stubbornness, mine vs. theirs. Sorry, I don't know what else to tell you. There is a lot of ice on the roads in the winter in PA, one cannot even enjoy the famous Jaguar x-type running over snow. It rains and then it freezes what it rained. At least this was last year. VERY dangerous. If I didn't have those pigeons, I would stay all winter long in NY.
