Default Cranking but wont start

3days ago i tried to start my 2.0D. it started, ran for 5 minutes then died. Wouldn't start, tried again, battery flat.
Recharged battery, started again, ran for 5 Seconds this time, then died. Tried again, battery gone. New battery in place today, its cranking, but wont start. Any hints in any direction would be much appreciated :-)

My thinking is that you have Water or ICE in your fuel system blocking fuel flow...I'm only thinking this because your location is in Norway..Brrrrrr!

you need to crack one of the pipes to an injector to see if its getting fuel flow it could be fuel pump related either the High pressure or tank pump?

Or get a code reader on it and see if rail is reaching pressure?

sound like you need to find your fuse box preferrably the 1 with the fuel relay on it.Once you do that, use something to check the fuses to make sure all your fuses are working. My XKR was doing these same symptoms even tho I have a different car and I just changed the whole fuse box out and my Jag runs like it never had a problem

A 2009 has the fuel filter in the tank right?

With my audi the in tank pump with integrated filter became gummed up and it wouldn't turn over but VAGCOM (audi diagnostic tool) was reporting high pressure at the rail In the Audi the pump/filter was easily accessible, in the Jag the tank needs to be dropped IIRC?

Just throwing it out there and I really hope you get it fixed soon
