Cruise control not working

Hi I have a 2002 jaguar x type 2.5 automatic v6
when I push the on button nothing happens no light on the dashboard can any one help me

Check fuse under hood F36 (only up to 2004 change models). If good most likely a button failure in the steering wheel

try pushing the SET button after pressing the ON button.

try pushing the SET button after pressing the ON button. Cruise will engage after 28mph, below that it won't
