How does one extract the fixture housing these lights on an early 2001.5 X Sport? The electric diagram shows a single bulb but aren't these an array of LEDs? The thing is completely dead though the outer lower brake lights work fine. Please tell me I don't have to remove the entire headliner? OK, so if I do, where do you begin to peel that thing off without destroying it? I have only had the car a few months and they might have been out from when I got it though just now noticing. I never got an answer; may I ask again how to get at the high mount bulbs or plugs or LEDs or whatever is up there at the top rear center of my headliner? Thank you.

 

I'm not sure but I believe the bulbs are accessed by taking off the lense.
