Default The day has come

As some of you know, I have been looking at a new Jag. Well, I found one. I took ownership of a 2012 jaguar XJ on Saturday. So, K'Re Ann is now in the hands of someone else. Do not fret as I will still be roaming through these parts and assisting where I can. But, I may not around quite as often as I have been.

Looks like your leaper went from the hood to the trunk lid.
Enjoy your new ride.

Dennis, I got a black 2012 XJ with the tan/gray interior. I was really hoping for the XJL, but there were really none available that I was willing to spend the money on. The one that I was contemplating was actually the Supersport. The price was worth picking it up, but it was a 2012 with over 60K miles on it already and they were still asking just under $50K for it. Oh well, I am happy with what I have. Still learning all the bells and whistles. Played with the A/C cooled seats today. Those are nice.

Congratulations, Thermo! I know you have been eyeing one of those for quote a while. Thank you for all the good advice you have so patiently dispensed through the years. You have that knack of explaining the most complex things in a way anyone can understand. Your daily presence on here was (is) most appreciated by so many people. I'm sure the same will be said soon by the members in the XJ forum. Hope you have great fun and great luck with it!

Congrats Thermo, you were always a true resource for X-Type issues and I'm sure all the X-Type owners will miss you.

But now you get to develop a similar following over on the XJ list.

Best wishes.

Congrats Thermo. I definitely appreciate all of your assistance over the past few years. Your advice and expertise is a big part of why I still own and love my X (because it runs like a champ!)

I kinda wish you'da held out for an XE, so I could pick your brain when I grab mine in a year or two.

Enjoy the XJ.

That's one sweet car, I hope you get as much pleasure out of your new one as you did with the X Type.

Thanks for all the great advice and support to all over the years and I hope to see you back around here often!

Don't worry guys. I am still sticking around and giving input. Too much knowledge just to throw it all away. I am learning all sorts of new things with the XJ. So, having fun playing with that car and seeing what I can get done with it. Just need to build up my electronic tools as Jaguar made a few changes over the years and the stuff for the X-Type doesn't translate over. Oh the pain, more tools for the garage. LMAO.

Stunning car, Thermo. Hope it treats you as well as I'm sure you'll treat her.

How did you come up with "Jackie"?

After you bone up on all that electrical stuff, I'm sure you'll be ready to retrofit the reclining rear massage seats and champagne cooler.

I just wish I could put rear trays in my X-Type while I still have kids at home who would benefit from them...

ALfa, Jackie came from the fact that the car has Lo-Jack in the vehicle. Granted, some of that also comes from Jackie O and how she was a classy woman and looked good in black.

Jaggedy, I am sure with a little bit of work, we could make the XJ seats fit in the X-TYpe. LMAO. Kinda wish I was still living on Oahu. I would tell you to come over and we would make it work. LMAO. As for the champagne cooler, that is too easy to do. Granted, might be a little difficult to explain to the police.
