Default The Denso downstream oxygen sensor 234-4798 from APK with 2" shorter harnass

I have just got from AutoPartsKart (Via Amazon) a Denso downstream oxygen sensor 234-4798 with 2 inch shorter wires harnass (19" instead of 21.3" as per Denso manufacturer's specifications). I am not home yet to compare this sensor with what I have on the car. But can somebody tell me if 19" is still okay for this sensor to reach its location starting from the connector position? The vendor does not answer me and all I am told is that Denso is a good sensor, which I do not dispute... If what was in the beautiful box on which it is written Denso Oxygen Sensor 234-4798 was actually a Denso sensor 234-4798 (the vendor has questionable reviews as per wrong parts they send). How long is the distance from the connector to the sensor's hole in the manifold? Thank you so much.

Marcela,

I've added vehicle details to your post as it could be relevant to whether this short harness will or will not fit.

According to the product info a denso with that part number is 21.26 inches long. I would suspect you have a wrong part in the right box.

Default Yes, I knew that, Avern1, but what should I do now?

This 2 inch difference was my alarm signal immediately I opened the "Denso" box. But what should I do now? To fight the vendor or .Amazon before starting the painstaking removal of my old sensor? I never ordered from Amazon before (I used a friend's account as I don't have one). To try connecting the most probably wrong sensor and then to get the refusal of the vendor that their product cannot be returned because it was used? Please give me an advice.

It may not be too bad to check the existing sensor, and measure what length wire is actually needed. Maybe disconnect just the plug to make it easier to measure.

I found such reviews about this sensor harness shorter length from guys who bought it from Pepboys. After being worried because of the shorter harness length compared with what they had on the car, they were satisfied after some adjustments as the sensor itself and the connector fit properly and the sensor worked as expected. As long as I am in NY and my car in PA I should wait. I will let you know after I will do this sensor work. Thanks for the pre installment measurement suggestion.
